How to Make Cold Brewed Coffee

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb coarsely ground coffee beans

  • 4 1/4 cups cold water

  • Cheesecloth

  • Coffee filters

Directions:

  • Put coffee grounds in a large container and slowly pour water over the coffee grounds

  • Cover container with plastic wrap and steep at room temperature for 18-24 hours

  • Line a strainer with layers of cheesecloth.

  • Strain coffee through the cheesecloth into a pitcher.

  • Throw the grounds away

  • If you want a clearer brew you can strain the coffee again through filters.

  • Store in the refrigerator

Note: Prep time is 10 minutes and it is ready within 18-24 hours.
