Oh gosh where do I even begin!?

I am Bessie! The creator of Drink Addicts.

I started Drink Addicts on a whim. Yes, I love making all sorts of drinks and I thought it would be so dang fun to make a blog. One day I was talking to my dad and mom about making a blog and how silly it would but, but also how much freaking fun it would be. Of course, as parents do, I was encouraged to make it. Why the heck not right?

Well, that night I laid in bed not being able to fall asleep. All these ideas for this random blog I was dreaming up were flooding my every thought. I had potential names for the blog, potential names for the drinks, drink variations, different categories I would want to offer, and the list goes on and on and on.

A few days past, and I still couldn’t sleep. I couldn’t get the blog off my minds, so…. BOOM Drink Addicts was created! I figured if nothing more I needed to make this darn website just to get it off my mind so I could at least freaking sleep at night :)

Ultimately, my goal with this website is to just have some freaking fun, to share delicious tried and true recipes on here, and of course drink some amazing drinks! Hey if nothing more at least I have a good excuse to make drinks :)

As they say the rest is history.

Well, kinda. Eventually I began to talk about this with my sisters and how fun it would be to do this crazy blog thing together. So now, whenever they create a yummy drink they send it my way and it goes up on the blog :)

If we have a family get together we all try a new drink idea and decide if it is worthy of the Drink Addicts Blog. When the decision is made, I take a picture of it (because I run a photography business) and Boom! New recipe just for you!

Now we can say the rest is history :)
