Christmas Drink Recipe

Alcoholic Drink

This is my go to Christmas drink. It is the drink that is my Holiday staple. Actually, I start drinking this drink as soon as Eggnog becomes available in the store. Now, I know that you can make your own eggnog; however, sometimes I get lazy and just don’t do it. Hmm…. maybe that is something we should do on here and share the recipe. That way we can all have eggnog year around!!!! Ok, fine it will happen here in the near future :) , but for now we found an amazing recipe on Makers Mark’s website. Make sure to check it out here.

Anyways, back to this delicious traditional Spiked Eggnog Recipe. Now there are a few different ways to make it so we wanted to make sure to add all the different ways. The best part about this one is that you can have it either hot or cold. So depending on your mood you have the perfect Christmas drink! How cool is that? There aren’t many drinks where you can just heat it up and have another yummy cocktail! I think that might be what I love most about this one.

Ok, enough chit chat. Here is the recipe…

Traditional Spiked Eggnog

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce Rum or Whiskey depending on what you prefer

    • If you want to make this with a bit more Christmas feel, make sure to add Fireball Whiskey instead! It adds a delicious cinnamon flavor and my is it delicious!

  • 5 ounces Eggnog

  • Ice if you want it cold

  • Whipped cream

Directions:

  • Fill your favorite cocktail glass with ice.

  • Add rum or whiskey

  • Top with eggnog

  • Garnish with Whipped Cream

  • Enjoy!

  • If you want this as a hot drink then do not add ice. You will need to pour all ingredients into a glass and the microwave for 15 seconds at a time until the drink is warm. Every 15 seconds make sure to stir, test the heat, and continue until you reach desired heat. Then top with whipped cream.
